Victor Cruz revealed that his agent and the team have agreed on the "structure" of a new contract. 

"From what I hear, they’ve just agreed on the structure right now,” Cruz said on WFAN. “And that’s all I’m at liberty to say.

“Hopefully this leads to the right track and we’ll get it done sooner than later… I’m happy so far, so I can just relax and play some football."

Cruz is scheduled to be a restricted free agent at the end of the current season.

The Detroit Lions have signed Brian Robiskie to add depth to their receiver corps following the season-ending injury to Nate Burleson.

Robiskie was cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars last month. He made 39 receptions for 441 yards and three touchdowns over three seasons with the Browns.

Chris Cooley has agreed to re-sign with the Washington Redskins.

Cooley rejoins the Redskins following Fred Davis' season-ending Achilles' injury.

Cooley drew interest from other NFL teams after he was released by the Redskins.

Vince Young will work out for the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday.

Kevin Kolb is out for as long as two months, which will leave the team with untested quarterback Ryan Lindley backing up John Skelton.

Shawne Merriman has agreed to a deal to return to the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills released Merriman before the start of the season.

The Chicago Bears have signed tight end Brody Eldridge to a one-year contract and waived running back Kahlil Bell.

The 6-5, 265-pound Eldridge has started 16 of 27 contests over two seasons (2010-11) with the Colts, recording 14 receptions for 84 yards (6.0 ypr) after being selected by Indianapolis in the fifth round (162nd overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma.

Bell appeared in two games for the Bears this season and had 32 rushing yards on 12 carries (2.7 ypc) along with an 11-yard reception.

Miami Dolphins' owner Steve Ross revealed to team employees that his number one offseason priority is the acquisition of a top receiver.

Brian Hartine and Davone Bess are more complementary receivers.

Greg Jennings, Mike Wallace, Wes Welker and Dwayne Bowe are amongst the prospective free agents at receiver.

Ross also voiced his support for general manager Jeff Ireland.

Steven Jackson had wanted an extension with the St. Louis Rams, but talks ultimately went nowhere.

Instead, Jackson and the Rams agreed for him to receive an out in his contract after the 2012 season.

Jackson is due to make $7 million in 2013 if he decides to remain with the Rams.

But Jackson can now explore free agency.

The New York Jets have signed wide receiver Jason Hill.

Hill will give the Jets needed depth at receiver following the injury to Santonio Holmes.

Hill spent four seasons with the 49ers and two with the Jaguars.

Bobby Carpenter has been re-signed by the New England Patriots.

Carpenter was released by the Patriots when finalizing its 53-man roster.

Carpenter's signing could signal that fellow linebacker Dont'a Hightower could miss Week 5's game against the Broncos.
